Immune-Boosting products & tips from Chrissy, my herbalist friend

I have put together a small list of things to help boost your immune system during these times. I feel like I need to share what I know, and offer that knowledge to those I love. All of this info come from my teacher, Chris, from the Vital Ways Institute in Portland, Oregon. I truly respect his approach to healing and years of dedicated study.

Here are some options of things to add to your daily practices for boosting immune health. I am not going into detail about each every option listed, I would be happy to explain anything more an depth if you have questions. The options listed work as deep immune tonics, to strengthen your system, surface immune tonics, to help you feel better quickly, and as antimicrobials / anti-virals.
I do suggest buying multiples of each item, so you decrease the amount of deliveries to your home, minimizing contact. I also realize that this stocking up can be costly, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend it. Preventative medicine does cost, but to me it is well worth the monetary output compared to the detrimental effects of getting sick.
Of course, decreasing the amount of inflammatory foods ( ie. sugar, gluten, dairy, alcohol) and getting lots of sleep will certainly support your immune system. To be honest, at this point I do no believe this is enough, but definitely a great place to start.
Try incorporating raw garlic, 2 cloves a day if you can, smashing it up first, then letting it sit for 10 minutes and then adding it to any food dish. I do this every night. Increase this to 5 cloves a day if you actually get sick.
Hopefully you are already taking Vitamin D, another important vitamin for immune health.

This can be added to your morning coffee or smoothie. Awesome for building the strength of your immune system.
Liposomal Vitamin C [from Amazon]
The best form for vitamin C. Since this vitamin is water soluble, it can be easily excreted through you urine if you take extra. The lipsomal form is the more effective way to take a higher dose and actually absorb it.
Osha cough syrup [from Amazon]
This would be wise to have hand, incase you do start to feel sick: Buy 1 bottle should be sufficient, also great for kiddos.

Querceitin [from Vitacost]
Helpful for pulling viruses out of your body. I bought several bottles of this to take every day for the next couple of months.
Astragalus Powder capsules [from Vitacost]
I suggest buying 4 or 5 bottles of this, once again taking it every day. If you do get sick, this is one to stop taking.
Echinacea and Elderberry Syrup [from Vitacost]
Buy 2 or 3 bottles of these, the kiddos can take this as well, in a smaller dosage than you.
